INTO Queen’s University Belfast Foundation Program

The INTO Queens (QUB) foundation program provides academic preparation for first year undergraduate entry comparable to UK A-levels and ensures that you meet the English language requirements for your chosen degree program.

Upon successful completion of the relevant INTO Queens Foundation pathway and subject to achieving the specified grades for progression to your chosen degree, you will be guaranteed entry to the first year of a wide range of undergraduate courses offered by the University.

Program Features

If you have completed secondary education in your home country, the INTO Queens Foundation program provides academic preparation for first year undergraduate entry comparable to UK A-levels and ensures that you meet the English language requirements for your chosen degree program. The program is offered in partnership with NCUK (the Northern Consortium of UK Universities) and is recognized by Queen’s University for direct entry to a wide range of undergraduate degree programs.

There are two broad pathways:

  • Foundation in Business, Humanities and Social Sciences
  • Foundation in Science, Engineering, Computing and Mathematics

The pathways combine academic study, intensive English language preparation, study skills and cultural orientation. Upon successful completion of the relevant Foundation pathway and subject to achieving the specified grades for progression to your chosen degree, you will be guaranteed entry to the first year of a wide range of undergraduate courses offered by the University.

When you successfully complete the INTO Queens Foundation pathway in Business Science, Engineering, Computing and Mathematics and meet the specified grades for entry, you will qualify for direct entry to Year 1 of a broad range of undergraduate courses at Queen’s University Belfast, including:
