The Bachelor of Veterinary Science at The University of Queensland

The Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) at The University of Queensland is a highly structured professional degree designed for students who intend to qualify as veterinarians and work in clinical practice, animal health, biosecurity or related scientific fields. UQ has one of the longest-established veterinary schools in Australia, and the programme is delivered through a carefully sequenced curriculum that integrates foundational science, applied veterinary knowledge and extensive clinical training.

For Singapore students, this programme is academically demanding but well regarded for its depth and rigour. Students progress from pre-clinical scientific foundations into intensive hands-on clinical training, working with a wide range of animal species. The honours component is embedded within the degree and reflects the programme’s strong emphasis on scientific inquiry, evidence-based practice and research-informed veterinary decision-making.
