INTO University of Newcastle Diploma Program

The Diploma program prepares you for direct entry to the second year of an undergraduate degree. It is a full-time academic program in business, and is equivalent to studying the first year of an undergraduate degree. It is quality assured and accredited by Newcastle University.

Successful completion of the Diploma program (subject to meeting specified progression grades) gives you guaranteed direct entry to the second year of a relevant undergraduate business degree at the University. Diploma programs start in September and January each year, with both intakes leading to the University’s September start date for undergraduate studies.

Program Features

The Diploma program prepares you for direct entry to the second year of an undergraduate degree in Newcastle University Business School. This is the only progression route, and a single pathway is offered, in Business. The Diploma is a full-time academic program, which is equivalent to studying the first year of an undergraduate degree. Progression to a relevant degree at the Business School is dependent on successful completion of the Diploma program and subject to meeting specified progression grades in your English for Academic Purposes module.

The Diploma in Business is suitable for international students who have completed A-levels, a recognized Foundation program or for students who are already in the first year of a relevant undergraduate degree but do not meet the requirements for direct entry to Newcastle University Business School.

If you successfully complete the Diploma in Business program at INTO Newcastle University, and meet the English language progression criteria for entry to your chosen degree program, you will be guaranteed progression onto the second year of a limited number of undergraduate degree programs offered by the Business School at Newcastle University.
