MIT Diploma (pathway to Murdoch University)

The Murdoch Institute of Technology (MIT) diploma courses that maximize the degree options for which students can gain full credit and exemption. The major advantage of this structure is that students are not locked into a particular degree at enrolment.

MIT diploma Student are guaranteed entry into the second year of Bachelor degree courses at Murdoch University upon successfully completion. (Entry to specific Bachelor degree courses may be limited where special entry requirements and/or quotas apply.)

Murdoch University was established in 1975 as a research university and has since attained recognition as a leading research institution particularly in the fields of Veterinary, Biotechnology, Biological and Environmental Sciences. Murdoch is ranked 1st in Western Australia and 8th in Australia on the basis of research funding per student.

Program Features

Each Diploma is equivalent to one year of a Bachelor degree course at Murdoch University. Students gain a recognised AQF qualification after only one year of tertiary study. Students are guaranteed entry into the second year of a range of Bachelor degrees at Murdoch University. These subjects are offered in diploma courses:

• Diploma of Science

Each Diploma course requires completion of a total of eight (8) units, some of which are core to specific degrees. The units in these awards have been selected to provide students with a broad and relevant base of knowledge in preparation for a range of degrees, or for employment.
